There are trends on both sides. No Canadian-based team has ever lost a game 7 in the finals. I think they are 7-0.

Thomas has been spectacular these playoffs, however it seems to me the key to tonights game is Luongo. When he is on, he is Thomas' equal, when he is off, he is almost as good as SDH between the pipes. The other trend is that he has been on at home.

Should be an interesting game.

Excuse me, I am world reknown for my pipe-expertise.

And don't even get me started about laying pipe.

See where you made me go? I wash my hands of wherever this thread now goes. You only have yourself to blame.

Bruins winning the Cup tonight is more than a pipe dream (dammit! I've fallen into your insidious wordplay trap)

As for Canadian teams being 7-0 in game 7's that ends tonight b/c it's a night of firsts: Bruins will be the first team in franchise history to win the Cup in a Game 7 and Vancouver will be the first Canadian team to lose a Game 7.

In 2009 a little-known 3rd/4th line grinder player emerged for Pittsburgh (the road team in game 7) as the hero (Max Talbot) when the Red Wings were all focused on Crosby, Malkin, etc.

I smell a huge goal by Gregory Campbell for the Bruins tonight.

Go Bruins!

I'm scared that if they win, Derek Sanderson will be so overcome with joy that he will relapse, snort an entire 8-ball, strip off his clothes, hotwire the Zamboni, steal the Cup and cruise the streets of Vancouver with the Cup hoisted over his head making unflattering comments about Canadian contributions to modern society.

Please, I realize that by describing an event centered around a naked ex-Bruin I have opened the door to more "pipe" references, but show yourselves to be above the temptation.

Alls I know is it would awesome if Sanderson did that. Just for one night. And just because the Bruins won.

Go Bruins!
